Nursery

One of the ideas to bring money into the community was to start a nursery to propagate native plants, especially the many species of native orchids found in the area.  Since orchids take 4 years to grow, they are also dealing in commercial plants brought in from Guadalajara.  They are selling these plants and organic compost in San Blas (by the carnitas stand) on Wednesdays and Saturdays.   You can also visit the nursery in Singayta to purchase plants.
